Description

Urispas medication has moderated m-anticholinergic activity, as well as myotropic antispasmodic activity. It is a tertiary amine. It lowers the tone, eliminates spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs - the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, uterus, urinary tract, in particular, the bladder, urethra. In patients with cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis causes a decrease in dysuria, pain, the frequency of urge to urinate.
Urispas pill is used for the symptomatic treatment of dysuria, nocturia, cystitis, prostatitis, urethritis, as well as for the elimination and prevention of bladder-central spasm associated with instrumental examination or surgery on the bladder, urethritis.
Contraindications include obstructive urinary tract diseases; intestinal obstruction; achalasia; gastrointestinal bleeding; glaucoma.
Warning. During periods of pregnancy and lactation, the drug is prescribed for health reasons. Urispas is not recommended for children under 12 years old.
Urispas side effects may include: dizziness, headache, drowsiness, anxiety; accommodation paresis, decrease in visual acuity, increase in intraocular pressure; rarely - confusion. Tachycardia; leukopenia; nausea, vomiting, dry mouth; urticaria, dermatosis, hyperpyrexia may also occur.
There are also some special instructions. With extreme caution, the drug may be prescribed for patients with suspected glaucoma. When drowsiness and blurred vision appear during the treatment with flavoxate, patients should refrain from performing work that requires a high concentration of attention and quick psychomotor reactions. During pregnancy, the application is possible only under strict indications. With great care, the drug can be used during lactation.
