Kamagra (Sildenafil)

Common Use

Kamagra is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It is an analogue version of Viagra, or sildenafil citrate, which is used for the treatment of sexual dysfunction. Kamagra increases the amount of blood passing to the penis.

Dosage and Direction

100mg Kamagra dose takes effect in 45 minutes and lasts for 4-6 hours.

Precautions

Before taking Kamagra, notify your doctor if you suffer from any of the following conditions: allergies, anaemia, eye diseases, cancer, high or low blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, heart failure, unstable chest pain, certain eye disorders, penile deformation, or if you have a history of such conditions. Inform your doctor if you take protease inhibitors for the treatment of HIV. Avoid standing up too quickly from a lying or sitting position. Refrain from consuming alcohol, as it may worsen side effects. Do not take Kamagra if you have already taken another ED medication. Alert your doctor before taking Kamagra if you use alprostadil (Caverject, Muse, Edex) or yohimbine (Yocon, Yodoxin, others).

Contraindications

Kamagra is contraindicated in patients allergic to the medication or those treated with nitrates (such as nitroglycerin). This combination can result in dangerously low blood pressure, leading to stroke, heart attack, or death. Do not take Kamagra if you are under 18 years old.

Possible Side Effects

The most common side effects are:

• Flushing
• Heartburn
• Stomach upset
• Nasal stuffiness
• Lightheadedness
• Dizziness or diarrhoea

A serious allergic reaction to this drug is very rare, but seek immediate medical help if it occurs. Most people using this medicine do not experience serious side effects. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any side effects not listed above.

Drug Interactions

Kamagra should not be prescribed to patients being treated with medications containing organic nitrates. Kamagra blood levels may be increased by erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, and saquinavir. These medications are known to interact with Kamagra: bosentan (Tracleer), cimetidine (Tagamet, Tagamet HB), antibiotics like erythromycin (E-Mycin, Eryc, Ery-Tab) or clarithromycin (Biaxin), doxazosin (Cardura), prazosin (Minipress), terazosin (Hytrin), HIV medicines such as indinavir (Crixivan), amprenavir (Agenerase), darunavir (Prezista), efavirenz (Sustiva), tipranavir (Aptivus), nevirapine (Viramune), saquinavir (Invirase, Fortovase), lopinavir/ritonavir (Kaletra), fosamprenavir (Lexiva), ritonavir (Norvir), atazanavir (Reyataz), or nelfinavir (Viracept); antifungal medications like itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral); carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenobarbital (Luminal), phenytoin (Dilantin); or rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane), or rifabutin (Mycobutin).

Missed Dose

Kamagra is taken as needed, so a missed dose is not expected.

Overdose

If you overdose on Kamagra, you may experience fainting, chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, or lightheadedness. Seek immediate medical help if this occurs.

Storage

Store Kamagra at room temperature, away from moisture, sunlight, children, and pets in a tightly sealed container.
