Important Information about ADDERALL

Active Ingredient: ADDERALL is used in a treatment program to combat symptoms of ADHD in adults and children aged 3 and older. It is also used to treat narcolepsy (a sleep disorder leading to excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden sleep attacks) in adults and children aged 12 and older. ADDERALL belongs to a class of medications known as central nervous system stimulants. It alters the levels of certain natural substances in the brain.

Effects

ADDERALL is generally well-tolerated and effective in treating symptoms of ADHD and narcolepsy. At therapeutic doses, ADDERALL causes emotional and cognitive effects such as euphoria, changes in sex drive, increased alertness, and improved cognitive control. Physical effects include faster reaction times, resistance to fatigue, and increased muscle strength.

Overdose

An overdose of ADDERALL can lead to various symptoms, but with proper precautions, it is rarely fatal. The severity of overdose symptoms increases with dosage and decreases with tolerance to ADDERALL. An overdose typically results in seizures and coma. In 2013, ADDERALL and other amphetamine compounds were involved in 3,788 deaths worldwide.

Uses

  • ADHD
  • Narcolepsy
  • "Brain doping"
  • Enhancement of mental and/or athletic performance

What is Adderall?

ADDERALL is a prescription medication used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. It is a combination of amphetamine (levoamphetamine) and dextroamphetamine, which are stimulants of the central nervous system. With the use of ADDERALL, individuals can concentrate, stay alert, and control their behavior.

Originally developed for the treatment of narcolepsy, ADDERALL should not be used for fatigue or sleep-related issues without consulting a doctor. ADDERALL is available in tablet form and extended-release capsules (ADDERALL XR) in dosages ranging from 5 mg to 30 mg. At our reputable online pharmacy Europe-Pharm, ADDERALL tablets are available without a prescription.

Effects of Adderall

ADDERALL's effect includes enhancing concentration in patients with ADHD and inhibiting impulsivity and hyperactive behavior. The medication increases the activity of neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, according to the US National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). ADDERALL primarily stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the fight-or-flight response, such as pupil dilation, increased blood pressure or heart rate, and enhanced sweating.

ADDERALL Administration

Note: Follow your doctor's instructions during treatment with ADDERALL. The dosage depends on the severity of ADHD symptoms and varies from patient to patient. Initially, the lowest dose of ADDERALL, 5 mg, is prescribed. The dose is then gradually increased to achieve the best therapeutic results.

Tablets are taken with or without meals 2 to 3 times every 4-6 hours by mouth. ADDERALL XR capsules are prescribed once daily. The first dose should be taken in the morning with a glass of plain water, without chewing. For better results, the medication should be taken at the same time each day.

Children aged 6-12 should not take more than 30 mg once daily. Only in rare cases is a daily dose of 40 mg prescribed.

Long-term use of high dosages may result in withdrawal symptoms such as:

  • Exhaustion
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Irritability
  • Psychosis
  • Personality changes

Do not exceed the prescribed dosage. If you have taken too much, contact your doctor immediately. During treatment, your doctor may periodically ask you to stop taking ADDERALL to check ADHD symptoms, monitor vital signs such as blood, blood pressure, and heart, and assess weight and height. If the doctor identifies problems, ADDERALL should be discontinued.
